Anum Fatima - A young Commerce whiz
Anum Fatima is the first TCF school graduate to secure an A-plus grade in the Intermediate Commerce Part I Exam. The exam is highly competitive and taken by hundreds of thousands of students across Karachi each year. Anum is currently attending a renowned college in Karachi and is busy preparing for I.Com part II.
The first one in her family to go to college, Anum has set an example for all her younger siblings. She has two brothers and two sisters - all of whom attend TCF School (Shirin Sultan Dosa Campus) near their residence in Yusuf Goth, Karachi. Anum's father, a chauffeur, is the sole breadwinner for the family.
The family has gone through very tough times, often finding itself in dire financial constraints and shuffling the children through schools in Karachi and Lala Moosa (Punjab). A few years back, finally settling down in Karachi, the two younger children were admitted to the school closest to their home in Yusuf Goth - TCF School (Shirin Sultan Dossa Campus). The older three children, including Anum were admitted to a private school in the locality. However, Anum's parents soon realized that the environment of the school and its poor standard of education were having a negative impact on their older children. On the other hand, Anum's younger siblings showed marked improvement with TCF. The purpose-built building of the school and its encouraging and healthy environment also impressed the family. Anum's father soon took Anum and her two older siblings for admission to TCF School.
Under the tutelage and encouragement provided by TCF Teachers, all the siblings gained confidence and started demonstrating great improvement. Anum discovered a rejuvenated interest in her studies, and secured an A Grade in her Matriculation. She was easily admitted in the Commerce major offered by one of Karachi's renowned girls' colleges, Khatoon-e-Pakistan.
