What happens when a labourer’s son puts on a clean school uniform for the first time, a domestic worker’s son learns about the solar system, or a beggar’s daughter gets the best matric results in her class? Everything changes.
A child starts to explore the world and finds his or her path to self-reliance. A despairing family finds hope for better days. A struggling community finds positive role models and decides to invest in their children’s education. Educating a single child sends ripples of progress and betterment across families and communities for generations to come.
Help The Citizens Foundation bring more children off the street and into the school.
Our Impact
For the past 22 years, we’ve been working to provide quality education in the most difficult areas of Pakistan, helping our children break the inter-generational cycle of poverty and inequality, turning them into responsible, empowered and active citizens of the world.
Beating the Odds!
Zainab was a bright child, and her mother, who had never been to school herself, was determined to educate her children, a dream both she and her late husband had shared.
Aagahi – Empowering Women through Literacy!
