The Washington DC Chapter, one of the pioneer chapters of TCF-USA, was launched in 2009 as a grassroots community network. A large set of volunteers from Washington DC and neighboring communities in Maryland and Virginia were quick to respond to the cause of education and its need in Pakistan, and it has since been serving solely through voluntary efforts.

The Chapter’s Annual Fundraising Gala, which was held for the first time in 2010, has now become the most awaited event of the year in the DC area, and inspires the most prolific response among all the chapters. In 2016, The Washington DC Chapter also joined hands with the Michelle Obama’s ‘Let Girls Learn’ project, to further endorse girl education which is one of the primary objectives of the TCF movement.

Through generous contributions of the community and individual donors, the Chapter is currently educating over 3500 underprivileged children through its 29 built and supported schools, spread all over four provinces of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
